I m thinking of joining d competition above. Last time i joined a competition like this was way back in 2007. But that was different. Back then we were competing using Pro Evolution Soccer. I think this time it will be Fifa 2009. I dont quite really prefer the latter. But oh well, just for fun then! Liverpool all the waaaaay! oh yeah, the Liverpool team is coming down to spore this july! *whistles*. Will be looking for more updates on that one. Wassalam

Cry me a river?

Assalamualaikum.

I am very much intrigued when ustaz hannan pointed out today that history does not progress in a linear form. This made me think about a couple of things that i want to share with fellow readers.

First and foremost, i would like to disagree with the statement that we are in the Jahiliah period. Even if history does not progress in a linear form, but the fact that it is PROGRESSING shows that we are in a way better than the people who lived before the birth of our Prophet (s.a.w). And didnt Allah said we are the best group ( ummat nabi muhammad ) to ever live in this world? Yes some people will point out that the bad practices today ( such as incest ) have a frightening resemblance to the practices from the jahiliah period, but i am very sure that if we are to calculate and compare the amount of incest cases today with the jahiliah period, there will be lesser cases today. That is why history is PROGRESSING. To progress is to improve step by step if need be. To say that we are the same as in the jahiliah period is not a fair thing to me personally. We may cross a river twice, but we will NEVER cross the same water inside the river again. Just a thought. Feel free to debate.

About SP flag day...

Alhamduliillah it was ok. Haha. But very tiring. I was to collect at city hall area. But i ended up collecting at kranji. HAHA! when i counted the money later on, there was even a few MALAYSIAN cents.-_-

hey, maybe we shld go overseas and have a flag day there! then we can change the currency! imagine changing US dollars to Spore dollars! $$$$$$$$$$

who's next?

Lets us all read for the late Tun Rahman the verses of Al-Fatihah before we begin.
Grab the edges of your seats. For what i am about to reveal will definitely blow all of you out of your minds! Come come close your bedroom doors! shhhh! lower down the computer's volume. Then solemnly swear that you will never tell this to anyone else! * looking over own shoulders* Not even your parents!!!!
Here goes...
Tun Rahman was Malaysia's first prime minister. Wanting to ensure that nobody forgot all his deeds for Malaysia, people say he wrote a secret law. A law that would certainly ensure that he remained a living legend even after death. If u are brave enough, write this down.
R.A.H.M.A.N
R= Rahman
A= Abdul Razak
H= Hussein onn
M= Mahathir
A= Abdullah Badawi
N= Najib
Figured it out yet??? Yes!! The alphabets in his name spells out the names of Malaysia's prime ministers up till now. UP TILL NAJIB!!! Coincidence? Fact or Fiction?
you decide.

KEM W.A.J.A.R

Assalamualikum readers,

First and foremost, lets all give this blog a GIGANTIC kick ayte?? to wake it up. Anyway, since i have my own laptop now, lets hope this blog will live on. * drums rolling ending with a snare*

Right, lets move on. Let me tell u what happened at kem wajar.....

1st Day:

Camp started with a few ice-breaking games. SPLASH BANG BANG was my fav. i won the first round. Haha. BANG BANG!!! Last duel was with nasuha ( who turned out to be my group mate later on). Oh i LOVE that game. BUT, the 2nd round i lost. tsk tsk.

The main event for the 1st day was the Night Amazing Race around campus. I was in this group call LANGIR ( langit + air). Cool or what?? thoughout the race we did our group cheer as below( to the tune of Akon, right now)

Kite budak langir langir langir
Korang semue banyak songeh songeh
Kalau korang banyak songeh songeh
you all boleh beleh beleh beleh

btw, my group consist of me, syafiq,hasanah( yes yg ex-irsyad), nasuha and syaqq. our facis were isa and farhanah...

We finishd first for that race!!! Yeah! alhamduliillah! Langir Baik! Personally, i really like the number game found at one of the stations in the amzing race. We had to sit in a circle facing outward and be blindfolded while counting the number 1 to 20. Sounds easy?? but here's the catch, a number must not be said at the same time by other group members. Confusing?? good. HAHA.

2nd Day:

Nothing much. Most of the time had talks. However, at night we were wow-ed by the Sang Singa Purba's performance. So great! The music! The drama! The dance! All done by our facilitators!* salutes* go to sangsingapurba.com for more info. Haha. No really. Just go.

After the performance we had to perform our own skid. Our group was specifically asked to act confused in a jungle as one of us had to do 'big business'. ???????? Fortunately, our group did great! we got 2nd for the performance overall.

3rd Day:

Main highlight were the Sports events and Night Walk.

Night Walk was FUN. HAHA. i like the feeling of being watchd. Scary, but fun. haha. its like participating in a horror film or sumthng. i walked through eerie corridors, pass through silent canteens, climbed up freaky staricases, crossed a dark bridge and got lost in one of those long narrow alleys. Haha. luckily, i reached the end-point. oh oh oh, did i tell u about a guy friend of mine who JOG all the way during the night walk???? HAHAHA. no comment.

4th day:

Ended with a bang! my group won best group! wuhoo. langir best. alhamdullillah. After that went back home and slept like a baby. Also had a minor sore throat. ok thats all from me.
All in all, WHAT A CAMP!

wassalam.
p/s. pics i m still waitng for people to give me. anyone reading this and u have the pics please tag. Anyone.

On Air

Alang-alang seluk pekasam,biar sampai ke pangkal lengan
Assalamualaikum to all! finally i ve received the pics for the dj ria thingy! overall, it was fun being a student dj at ria. Its a once in a lifetime chance! Rezeki di depan mata tidak boleh ditolak. Haha
Anyway, i would like to thank 4pm for giving me the chance to experience a full hour of becoming a dj. For me and izan, it was an enriching experience overall! Now here's the full story...
Izan was already feeling nervous in school. Haha. Honestly, i wasnt that nervous until several questions came popping up in my head in the afternoon;
(1) will our voice come out ok??? ( i was havng flu on that day and coulnt take my med as it was the month of ramadhan)
(2) will the dj ask us to sing??? ( this REALLY freaked us out. i mean really.)
(3)what if we get some kind of mind block during that one hour???
(4) should we speak bahasa baku or bahasa pasar???
and the list goes on....haha
So we break our fast at macdonalds in toa payoh. I drank green tea instead of milo( konon nak jaga suara because milo got milk n milk is not good for the voice. HAHA. Like real.) We then made our way to mediacorp by bus. To cool down ourselves, me and izan listened to ria on the way there( we still havnt decide to use baku or pasar style). Once we got there, we sat outside the reception hall and waited for kak nitty's call. Around 5 mins before 9pm she called and asked us to come in. Me and izan were literally shaking in our pants. Haha.
But everything came out fine alhamdullillah. We had a good laugh inside the dj room with kak nitty and she 's a very fun person. Haha. We talked about alot of things on air and off air. oh yeah, i want to thnx NURSILA for telling singapore i cant tie my shoes. HAHAHAHAHAHA. But yeah, unfortunately it's a fact.Haiz. i m working on it though!!! ;p
p/s how on earth can i forgot izan's b'day??? haha.
salam,
halym@
